Know which stocks are expiring in the given date range.

Step 1: Create a Matrix then set it with Product:

1. From main menu go to the Product Management (M > I > P)
2. Press ALT + L to select a product from the list
3. Go to the Matrix Name field and press CTRL + N to create a new one
   
4. In the Matrix Modify screen, type the name of the Matrix at Matrix Name field
5. Set Activate Expiry = Yes
6. Press ALT + S to save
7. Now set the Matrix with the desired product and then press ALT + S to save.

Step 2: Purchase Entry:

1. From main menu go to the Purchase Invoice (P > T > P)
2. Press ALT + L at Supplier field to select Supplier from the list
3. Press ALT + L at Product field to select Product from the list
4. Now in the Item Entry screen, you will get four new columns added, viz., Mfg Dt, Best, Before and Exp Dt as shown in the picture below:

Name	Particulars
Mfg Dt	Enter the date of manufacture of the product. For Example, enter 1.2.2013 if you want to enter 01-Feb-2013.
Best	Enter best data manually.
Before	Select Days / Month / Year. For instance: If you enter Mfg Dt = 01-Feb-2013, Best = 100 and Before = Days then the expiry date will be 11-May-2013. If you enter Mfg Dt = 01-Feb-2013, Best = 5 and Before = Month then the expiry date will be 02-Jul-2013. If you enter Mfg Dt = 01-Feb-2013, Best = 2 and Before = Year then the expiry date will be 02-Feb-2015.
Exp Dt	Expiry date will be calculated automatically as per above filled data.

Note:

The said feature is applicable for all the stock-in entries like Opening Stock, Purchase Order, Purchase Challan (Receipt Note), Purchase Invoice and Stock Journal (Only Production entry).

Product Expiry Register (W > A > R):

It shows stocks which are expiring within the given date range along with details like Product Name, Group, Sub Group, Mfg Date, Exp Dt, Closing, Closing Value etc.
