Main > Payroll  > Transaction > Daily Attendance

It is used to track and record attendance on daily basis. In this concern you can use Finger Print Scanner, Smart Card device etc. However, also you can enter daily attendance manually using Keyboard and Num pad functionality.

Here you have to enter attendance twice in a day, the very first input will be counted as actual time in and the very last input will be counted as actual time out, and the difference value of these will be counted as actual hours worked in a day. And the other values like Early In, Late In, Early Out, Late Out, Over Time, Short Time etc will be calculated accordingly.

 

Step 1: Setting up Attendance Voucher option:

1.From main menu go to the "Attendance Voucher" (E> T> A).
2.Press ALT + O to get the Attendance Option
3.Set "Method of Input" as per your requirement and save pressing ALT + S. Details are as follows:

Attendance Input

Finger Print: Set this to enter daily attendance through Finger Print Device.
Keyboard: Set this to enter daily attendance manually by keyboard.
Num Pad: Set this to enter daily attendance using Num Pad.
Smart Card Device: Set this to enter daily attendance through Smart Card Device.

 

Step 2: Enter daily attendance:

1.From main menu go to the Daily Attendance (E T D)
2.Enter attendance using the tool has been chosen in Attendance Voucher option, E.g. Finger Print, Keyboard, Num Pad, Smart Card Device etc.

 

Note:

Attendance date is based on operating system date of the server. Changing the attendance date from the software is not possible.
Deletion or modification of daily attendance is not possible.
Daily Attendance using Keyboard

Without using any other device like Finger Print Scanner, Smart Card Device etc you can enter daily attendance manually using this functionality.

 

Step 1: Setting up Attendance Voucher option:

1.From main menu go to the Attendance Voucher (E > T > A)
2.Press ALT + O to get the Attendance Option
3.Set Keyboard at “Method of Input” field
4.Press ALT + S to save the changes.

 

Step 2: Enter daily attendance manually using Keyboard:

1.From main menu go to the Daily Attendance (E > T > D)
2.You will get Swipe Your Card screen
3.Enter employee code and press enter and then click on Ok.

 

Note:

Every employee need to enter his/her employee code twice in a day. Enter the employee code first time while entering into the office and at last time while leaving out of the office.

Daily Attendance using Num Pad

Without using any other device like Finger Print Scanner, Smart Card Device etc you can enter daily attendance manually using this functionality.

 

Step 1: Setting up Attendance Voucher option:

1.From main menu go to the Attendance Voucher (E T A)
2.Press ALT + O to get the Attendance Option
3.Set Num Pad at “Method of Input” field
4.Press ALT + S to save the changes.

 

Step 2: Enter daily attendance manually using Num Pad:

1.From main menu go to the Daily Attendance (E T D)
2.You will get Swipe Card screen
3.Enter employee code and press enter and then click on Ok.

 

Note:

1.Every employee need to enter his/her employee code twice in a day. Enter the employee code first time while entering into the office and at last time while leaving out of the office.
2.In Num Pad it will accept only numeric values, so before using this functionality make sure that codes of all employees are numeric.

Daily Attendance using Upek Eikon Finger Print Scanner Device

Step 1: Download the drivers:

1.Download Fr6ThirdPartyDrivers.exe from here
2.Run the above file to extract its content to C:\FusionRetail6\ or the directory where FR8 is installed. Before extract make sure that all of the applications of Fr6 are closed.
3.Plug in your UpekEikon scanner to a USB port. It will tell for driver. Please use the path
4.C:\FusionRetail6\Fr6ThirdPartyDrivers\UpekEikon\
5.Please note that the blue led will be lighted until a correct driver is found and device is ready.  This led will then turns off and will be on while working with FR8.

RanceLab® FusionRetail™6 Third Party Drivers: These drivers are required by RanceLab® FusionRetail™6 to integrate some devices. It installs all the necessary drivers and dll files required to integrate 3rd party devices. Please choose the installed folder of FR8 during the installation.

Step 2: Edit C:\FusionRetail6\FR8.CreditCard.xml file:

1.Open C:\FusionRetail6 \FR8.CreditCard.xml by right clicking and open in Notepad.
2.From main menu go to the bottom of the file
3.And then type the following changes as shown in the picture below, please skip this if the changes is already exist.

 

Step 3: Enrollment of employees with Finger Print Scanner:

1)From main menu go to the Employee Master (M > P > E)
2)Create the employee master and save.
3)Again select the created employee in modify mode by pressing ALT + L
4)Press ALT + F or click on “-F Finger Scan” button to enroll the employee
5)Now it will bring you to Enrollment screen
6)Then tell the employee to keep continue to swipe his/her finger in the direction of arrow of the Finger Print Scanner till the scan process completes 100%
7)Once scan process completes successfully then click Yes and save employee master.

 

Step 3: Setting up Attendance Voucher option:

1.From main menu go to the Attendance Voucher (E > T > A)
2.Press ALT + O to get the Attendance Option
3.Set Finger Print at “Method of Input” field
4.Press ALT + S to save the changes.

 

Step 4: Enter daily attendance using Finger Print device:

1.From main menu go to the Daily Attendance (E > T > D)
2.You will get Scan Your Finger screen
3.Now tell the employee to swipe his/her finger once in the direction of arrow of the Finger Print scanner.

 

Note:

Every employee need to swipe his/her finger twice in a day. Swipe first time while entering into the office and swipe last while leaving out of the office.

Daily Attendance using Smart Card Device:

MiFare card reader

MiFare card is widely used by educational institutes and business organizations as ID card. You can use the Mifare card reader in FusionRetail6 to track and record daily attendance of the employee.

Step 1: Download the drivers:

1.Download Fr6ThirdPartyDrivers.exe from here
2.Run the above file to extract its content to C:\FusionRetail6\ or the directory where FR8 is installed. Before extract make sure that all of the applications of Fr6 are closed.

Step 2: Edit C:\FusionRetail6\FR8.CreditCard.xml file:

1.Open C:\FusionRetail6 \FR8.CreditCard.xml by right clicking and open in Notepad.
2.Go to the bottom of the file
3.And then type the following changes as shown in the picture given below:

 

Note:

1.There is one more dll file for a different type of card reader and that is FwS3Dll.dll. You just need to make dcrf32.dll file active and FwS3Dll.dll file inactive. Adding "<!--" at line start and "-->" at line finish will make the dll file inactive and adding “<” at line start and “>” at line finish will make the dll file active for the software. Else you may choose to completely delete the line which is not required.
2.Two dlls will not work at the same time, so make sure that only one dll is active.

 

Step 3: Plug in the device:

1.Now connect the MiFare Card Reader with computer
2.Subsequently operating system will show a message say “New Hardware Found”. If supporting driver is already exist for the device then it will not prompt for update driver else prompt for update driver, and in that case you just need to update default driver of operating system. Now device is ready to read and write.

 

Step 4: Assign a Card to an Employee:

1.From main menu go to the Employee Master (M > P > E)
2.Put one card on the card reader and select an existing customer
3.Press ALT + C or click on “-C Assign Card” at Card Number field to assign the card
4.Now press ALT + S to save.

 

Note:

You cannot assign a Smart Card while creating a new employee master, as this feature works only with already created employee master. So you need to create an employee first then after assign a card in modify mode.

 

Step 5: Setting up Attendance Voucher option:

1.From main menu go to the Attendance Voucher (E T A)
2.Press ALT + O to get the Attendance Option
3.Set Smart Card Device at “Method of Input” field
4.Press ALT + S to save the changes.

 

Step 6: Enter daily attendance using Smart Card device:

1.From main menu go to the Daily Attendance (E > T > D)
2.You will get Use Your Card screen
3.Put employee’s Smart Card on the card reader
4.Click on Read button to enter attendance data.

 

Note:

Every employee need to put his/her smart card on the card reader twice in a day. Put the card first time while entering into the office and at last time while leaving out of the office.

HID Omnikey 5325 USB Proximity card reader

HID (Human Interface Device) card is widely used in business organization as ID card. You can use HID card reader in FusionRetail6 to track and record daily attendance of the employee.

Step 1: Download the drivers:

1.Download Fr6ThirdPartyDrivers.exe from here
2.Run the above file to extract its content to C:\FusionRetail6\ or the directory where FR8 is installed. Before extract make sure that all of the applications of Fr6 are closed.
3.Install HID_OMNIKEY5x2x_x86_R1_2_9_2.exe from C:\FusionRetail6\Fr6ThirdPartyDrivers\
4.Now plug in HID card reader to USB port. It will detect the driver automatically.
