Integration of ACS CCID USB Card Reader.

Smart Card to work with Card ID instead of Customer ID.  Write user defined card id in a smart card, then read that at Sale.

Customer ID is a system generated 5 digit unique alphanumeric code, and Card ID is a 6 to 20 digit user defined alphanumeric code. If Card ID is not entered during customer creation, it is replaced by Customer ID.

ACS Card Reader

Step 1: Required Dll files and drivers:

    • Ensure that WinSCard.dll (default dll of windows) is present in the “Windows\System32" folder.
    • For Windos7 no need to install Driver, for Window XP following driver is required "ACR38_Driver_Win_1150_P".

Step 2: Do the following changes in Global Options:

    1. From main menu go to the Global Options (T > A > G)
    2. Set "Smart Card (Green) Link = Card ID / Customer ID"
    3. Press ALS + S to save the changes.

Note:

    • If “Smart Card (Green) Link = Card ID” then Card ID will be assigned.
    • If “Smart Card (Green) Link = Customer ID” then Customer ID will be assigned.

 

Step 3: Edit C:\FusionRetail6\FR6.CreditCard.xml file:

    1. Open C:\FusionRetail6 \FR6.CreditCard.xml by right clicking and open in Notepad.
    2. Go to the bottom of the file
    3. And then type the following changes as shown in the picture below, please skip this if the changes is already exist.

Note:

    • There are two more dll files for different types of card readers and that are FwS3Dll.dll, dcrf32.dll. You just need to make winscard.dll file active and FwS3Dll.dll, dcrf32.dll file inactive. Adding "<!--" at line start and "-->" at line finish will make the dll file inactive and adding “<” at line start and “>” at line finish will make the dll file active for the software. Else you may choose to completely delete the line which is not required.
    • Two dlls will not work at the same time, so make sure that only one dll is active.

 

Step 4: Assign a Card to a Customer:

    1. Go to the Customer Master (M > O > C)
    2. Select an existing customer
    3. Insert the card into the reader with Chip facing Front Down. Subsequently, both green and red light of the card reader will start blinking for a while. Wait until both the lights stop blinking.
    4. Then enter the desired card number at “Card Number” field e.g. 1000489 and press Alt + C to assign the card
    5. Now it will show a message say “Would you like to assign: 1000489 to Smart Card?”, click Yes to assign.
    6. If it is already assigned to other customer then shows a message say “This card is already assigned to Abhishek Bachchan(1000447), Would you like to Reassign?”, else it will start assigning. Click Yes to reassign.
    7. On successful it will show a message say “Card Transfer successful”
    8. Then press Alt + S to save the changes.

Note:

    • You cannot assign a Card while creating a new customer, as this feature works only with already created customers. So you need to create a customer first then after assign a card in modify mode.
    • If “Smart Card (Green) Link = Card ID” then Card ID will be assigned.
    • If “Smart Card (Green) Link = Customer ID” then Customer ID will be assigned.
    • It is not compatible with USB Composite Device, commonly used with Logitech K series Keyboard.

 

Step 5: Sales Transaction Option:

    1. Press Alt+O in Sale Invoice (Scan POS) (S > T > S)
    2. Set Quick Mode to “Type of Operation (Module)” field
    3. Set Smart Card Device to “Prompt to select Customer on start” field
    4. Set Yes to “Activate Prepaid System” field
    5. Now press Alt+S to save the option.

Step 6: Smart Card Transactions e.g. Fill, Refill and Refund:

    1. Go to the Prepaid Card Transaction (S > T > P)
    2. Put customers HID card on card reader
    3. Press “F7” or click on “F7 Read Card” to get the card selected for transaction.

Step 7: Sale Transaction:

    1. Go to the Sale Invoice (Touch POS) (S > T > T)
    2. It will prompt you to “Use Your Card” screen
    3. Put customer’s HID card on the card reader
    4. Click on Read button to select the customer.
