Station Name

Enter the name of the Terminal (e.g PoS1)

Bill Printer

Select the device name of attached printer for Windows Bill printing. Press Ctrl+N to create a new device name and enter the particulars

Bill Printer is used to print Bill from Sale Order, POS and POS Return.

KOT Printer 1

KOT Printer 2

Select the device name of attached printer for KoT printing. Press Ctrl+N to create a new device name and enter the particulars

KOT Printers are used to print Kitchen Order Ticket. Two KOT printers can be attached to one station / system.

Customer Display

Select the device name of attached Customer Display unit. Press Ctrl+N to create a new device name and enter the particulars

Customer Display are used to display a few information at POS like Name of the Scanned item, quantity, price, discount, money tendered and returned, etc.

Cash Drawer

Select the device name of attached Cash Drawer unit. Press Ctrl+N to create a new device name and enter the particulars. Cash Drawers can be connected to a station via Receipt Printer. It is used to keep notes and coins. It is connected at POS.

PIN Pad

Select the device name of attached PIN pad unit. Press Ctrl+N to create a new device name and enter the particulars PIN pads are used to capture Debit Card PIN to be authorized from the bank, in case the transaction is processed by Debit Card. It is connected at POS.

Signature Capture

Select the device name of attached Signature capture unit. Press Ctrl+N to create a new device name and enter the particulars. Signature Capture is used to capture signatures. It is connected at POS.

Cheque Reader

Select the device name of attached Cheque Reader unit. Press Ctrl+N to create a new device name and enter the particulars. KOT Cheque Readers are connected to POS to capture cheque details, like Cheque Number, MICR code, etc, in case payment is made by cheque.

OPOS Device

Device Type

Type of Device (e.g Receipt Printer)

Driver Type

Enter the Driver Type. Using OPOS drivers, any of the Device Type specified in field above can be connected to a Station. Create a single instance of hardware (Ex: receipt printer) and use the same from Multiple station. Or choose DOS for traditional pattern of printing.

Printer Option

Enter the following particulars in case of Printer

Number of Column

Number of column of the attached printer (e.g 20 etc). Typically 40 Columns printers (3” wide) are normally used at POS. In case laser or deskjet is used, specify 80 Columns.

No of Copies

Enter the no. of print copies.

Number of Lines after Print

To automatically eject number of lines after each document (to provide the tear off space between 2 documents)

Cut Paper after Print

Set Yes to cut the paper after each print (the printer should have a cutter), else set No.

Open Drawer

Set Yes to automatically open the cash drawer after each print, else set No.

Print Logo

Set Yes if you print logo of the Company

Logo File Name

If you have set Yes at the above option, then Press Alt + L and select the logo image file

Line Display Option

Enter the following particulars in case of Display device

Display Mode

Select the Display mode, Blink, Normal, Reverse etc. Select Normal

Blink Rate

If Blink mode is set, enter the Blink rate. (Set 1000)

Total No of Lines

Enter the total number of lines for the selected mode. (Set 2)

Total No of Characters

Enter the total number of characters per line for the selected mode (Set 20)

Decimal in Rate

Select the number of decimals to print in the Rate column (0-3)

DOS Device Option

Enter the following in case of DoS device

Device Port

If standard Dot Matrix Printer is connected at POS, you need to specify the port (Serial & Parallel). Select from LPT1 to LPT9 (for parallel port) or from COM1 to COM9 (for serial printer). Select Default if you have installed the driver and using Windows Default Printer. Use from PNT1 to PNT9, if you’ve installed a print server and printing is done over LAN.
