Here you enter the details of each Table occupied by a customer, Items ordered and Items served.

You get the Table Layout screen of the default Table Layout (e.g Snack Bar). To select another Table Layout, click Change Layout button and select another Layout from the Table Layout Master list

A legend of The Table status is shown as below in different color. Table tablets in the layout are shown in the color as per Table Status, as below:

My Table: Tables for which Orders have been booked by Currently Logged-in User and neither closed nor tendered (color : Orange)
Other Table: Tables for which Orders have been booked by operators excluding Currently Logged-in User and not yet closed (color : Red)
Done Soon: Tables for which all orders have been executed and will be vacant soon, bill not yet paid. (color : Green)
Vacant: Tables currently Vacant  (color : Grey)
Reserved: Reserved table are shown in Violet color

To open a Table and make entry of Customer Order, click on the Table

Tables in any specific layout are diagrammatic representation of physical tables present in a restaurant. You may map your physical view or the layout with using Table Setup

Depending upon the size or area of tables, seating capacity may vary.  Set Yes at Prompt to Select No of Pax  to prompt an operator to enter number of guests when a table has started. Alternatively, you may click on “No of Pax” button on PoS order screen to do so.

If there are more than group in a Table, say a group of 3 persons and another group and 2 persons in a Table, who order separately and like to be billed separately, you can split the Table.

      Productivity Tip

To save time while entering quantity use "2 x Qty”, "3 x Qty”, "4 x Qty” and "5 x Qty" button.

First screen (Table Layout) following options are available:

L Chng Layout

Click L Chng Layout button bar or press L button to get the Table Layout screen where you can change the Table Layout.

It does not change the master file. Layout is used to define the different dining area of the restaurant. Suppose you have three dining hall in the restaurant – Chinese, Indian and Bar. This function is mostly used by the manager to see different layout from a single location. This function is security controlled.

F3 Create Cust

Click F3 Create Cust button bar or press F3 button for create a new customer.

F4 Add Item

Click F4 to open the Menu Master. You can create a new menu or alter a existing menu. If you require to add a new item  press Ctrl N (new) to add a new Item.

P Print Mngr

Click P Print Mngr button bar or press P button for set up the printer. You may route the printing of non-working printer to a nearby working printer.

D display

Click D display button bar or press D button to show the all transaction entries

Exit

Click Exit button or press Esc button to come out of the current screen

S Search Table

Click S Search Table button and enter the Table number to search.

Search Table is used when you do not know which customer is seated where. Used often in Disco (bar & pub) where guest is not seated on a particular table. If the guest is known then order is “Tagged” after a guest’s name.

If the guest is not known then the bartender keeps the credit card of guest for security and Tag the order with predefined tags.

Tagging is also used by the take away orders. Customer calls and places the order. The phone number is generally tagged against the order. When customer arrives for taking the delivery – the order is searched by the tag.

In that case, you may tag any open table by adding some comments or by adding a customer to it This helps to find out which customer is seated on what table. Specially, when restaurant is big or spread on 2-3 floors, the Table Name – Tag – Customer Name will be displayed. Double click any one to directly open the table to punch the order.

O Open Table

Click O Open Table or press O button and enter the Table Number. Items Ordered on the Table along with Price is displayed at the left

Open table is used when you know you take an order against a table. You may press ‘O’ and enter table name / number in the box that appears. Press enter to open the table.

Further, when you do not know the table number, use search option. Only tagged tables or tables with customer details will be displayed in Search List.

F1 Help

Click F1 Help or F1 button to get context sensitive Help

V Opt Voucher

Click V Opt Voucher or press V button to change the Sales Voucher Option.

R Opt Prn POS

Click R Opt Prn POS button bar or press R button to change the POS Print Option

F7 Reservation

Click F7 Reservation button or press F7 button to enter the reservation entry

1 Quick Mode

If you click 1 Quick Mode button or press 1 from numeric key pad for go to order entry screen (Quick Mode means fast food sale over the counter without routing through Table Mode.)

F7 Open Drawer

Opens the Cash Drawer (Cash Drawer setting needed before using this button. The action of the button is also dependable on User Rights)
