Here you create a menu and the respective Items in the Menu

Header

Here you set the menu properties:

Name

Enter the name of the Menu (e.g Snack Bar Menu)

Menu Colour

Press <enter> key at this field and select a colour palette. The menu will be displayed in the screen in the selected colour, helpful for Bearers, who are less literate.

Menu Item Colour

Press <enter> key at this field and select a from the colour palette to give a distinct colour of the Item in the menu. Restaurant modules are handled by semi literate persons and emphasis is given on icons, pictures and colours rather than text for easy and accurate selection of menus and items

Grouping On

Click Alt+L button and you select type of Item Group (Group, Brand, Sub Group) on which Items are to be grouped.

Location

Press enter and select (press Alt+L to get list) location from the list of Locations.

Is Active

Press Alt+L and select the Yes or No item from list. Select No to deactivate the menu which is no more in use.

Note : You cannot delete a master record, you have to deactivate a master which is not in use.

 

Line Field

At detail line, enter the following particulars of each Item available in the Menu

Product

Press Alt+L and select the product from the Product list or press Ctrl+N button to create a new product

Sub Group

The respective Group details (if grouped on), is displayed from the Product Master

Brand

The respective Brand details (if grouped on), is displayed from the Product Master.

Rate

Standard Sales price of the Product is carried from Product Master, which you may change

KOT Printer

Select the KoT printer at which the KOT is to be printed

Question 1

Question 2

Press Alt+L and select the question. Question is carried from Forced Question Master. Or, you may create Ctrl+N and create Questions in the Forced Question Master.

Note : Example : Suppose you are taking order for “Fresh Lime Soda” the system will ask the forced question “Sweet or Salted”. You need to select an answer.

Modifier

Press Alt+L and select the respective modifier in respect of the Item  from the list .

Ask Price

Set Yes/ No

If this is Yes then while taking order of this item – it will ask for the price. This is often called an open item.

Example 1: In a sweet shop you want a gift pack of Rs.250.

Example 2: If the guest ask for Methi Allo (not available in menu) and the manager decide to serve this as special item.

Example 3: Live Sea food items (live prawn, fish etc.), price will be known after you prepare it & weigh.

Ask Qty

Set Yes / No

When you select Yes, it will prompt for quantity. By default qty = 1.  If you set No, you have to first select the item then press qty and enter qty.

Tax

Tax rate is carried from Product Master or, press Alt+L and select tax rate from the Tax Master.

Max Qty

Enter the maximum Quantity of the product.

If you have some limited item like you have only 100 numbers of Gulab Jamun per day – then enter 100 here. Now every day you can sell only 100. The system will reset it to 100 next days automatically.
