Main Menu > Master > F&B > Menu Management

Here you create a menu and the respective Items in the Menu.

Header:

Here you set the menu properties:

Name

Enter the name of the Menu (e.g Snack Bar Menu).

Menu Colour

Press <enter> key at this field and select a colour palette. The menu will be displayed in the screen in the selected colour, helpful for Bearers, who are less literate.

Menu Item Colour

Press <enter> key at this field and select a from the colour palette to give a distinct colour of the Item in the menu. Restaurant modules are handled by semi literate persons and emphasis is given on icons, pictures and colours rather than text for easy and accurate selection of menus and items.

Grouping On

Click ALT + L button and you select type of Item Group (Group, Brand, Sub Group) on which Items are to be grouped.

No of Rows

Set number of rows to be shown in the Menu Item area. You can type any value but between 3 to 6.

No of Columns

Set number of columns to be shown in the Menu Item area. You can type any value but between 3 to 6.

Area of Screen

Select any of the followings 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80, where 60 is the default. Lower value will increase the Sub Menu area and decrease the Menu Item area, higher value will increase the Menu Item area and decrease the Sub Menu area.

Team

Press ALT + L to select one or more Team Master(s) from the list.

Line Field:

At detail line, enter the following particulars of each Item available in the Menu.

Product

Press ALT + L and select the product from the Product list or press CTRL + N button to create a new product. You can use multi selection keys here.

Sub Group

The respective Group details (if grouped on) is displayed from the Product Master.

Brand

The respective Brand details (if grouped on) is displayed from the Product Master.

Rate

Standard Sales price of the Product is carried from Product Master which you may change.

Display Name

Type a Display name here manually. You can keep items under it. This is addition to the Group/Sub Group so that items can be kept under a particular heading inside its actual Group/Sub Group to meet any special purpose. For Combo items you can utilize this functionality.

KOT Printer

Select the KOT printer from which the KOT is to be printed.

Print Tag

No = It will not print the FOOD TAG
On Qty = It will print FOOD TAG based on quantity (It will round up the decimal quantity)
On Item = It will print single FOOD TAG based on Item

Warehouse

Select Warehouse Master in order to maintain different stores or locations.

Color

Select item background colour. Changes in colour will affect only the products having no images attached with them.

Position

Use to change display order of menu items.

Sub Menu

Select a Sub Menu. If it does not exist then press CTRL + N to create new.

Press ALT + L to Select Forced Questions . You can choose multiple FQs for an item.

Modifier

Press ALT + L and select the respective modifier in respect of the Item from the list.

Counter

Press ALT + L to select the Counter Name. If it does not exist then press CTRL + N to create the new. Creating a Counter is very simple:

1.Press CTRL + N on the Counter Column
2.Type the name of the Counter
3.Press ALT + S to save.

 

Note:

This is a way to segregate the Coupon printings as per Counter, containing the same heading as counter name. Suppose you have three counters in your food court, then you can create three counters and define with every item accordingly.

Ask Price

Set Yes / No.

If this is Yes then while taking order of this item – it will ask for the price. This is often called an open item.

Example 1: In a sweet shop you want a gift pack of Rs.250.

 

Example 2: If the guest asks for Methi Aloo (not available in menu) and the manager decides to serve this as special item.

 

Example 3: Live Sea food items (live prawn, fish etc.), price will be known after you prepare it & weigh.

Ask Qty

Set Yes / No.

When you select Yes, it will prompt for quantity. By default qty = 1. If you set No, you have to first select the item then press qty and enter qty.

Tax

Tax rate is carried from Product Master or press Alt+L and select tax rate from the Tax Master.

Prep Time (Min)

Type the preparation time for the item(s).

Chk Stk

Set it Yes to enable stock check functionality else set No.

Type

Choose your food type here, whether  Food / Drink.

In the Sale Register, if click "-F Full Report" button then it will add two more columns "Food Sale" and "Drink Sale". "Food Sale" will be those for which Type is set to Food and "Drink Sale" for which Type is set to Drink in the Menu Management.
