Day Open is useful at Retail stores and F&B outlets those are open after midnight. Such organizations add the total sale on a single date.

Example : 01-Jan-2009 10:00 AM is the store open time and 02-Jan-2009 1:00 AM is the store closure time. Sale made during this period should be treated as sales for 01-Jan-2009.

Shift Name	Select the Shift name from the List. Press Ctrl + N to create new
Open On	Enter the shift open date

Click Save (-S Save) to open the day. A confirmation box will appear (as shown in picture below)

Here you create the different shifts in which you serve different menu items. For each shift, a separate menu is created.

Shift

Enter the Shift Name (like Breakfast, Dinner, Lunch etc). This way, you create all the shifts. The list of shifts is displayed in Day Open entry.

Why Shift Start time is also not taken during this entry ?

Main Screen > Sale Management > Transactions > Sale Invoice (Scan POS) > Options

Set “Use Day Open / Close” option to “Yes”
