FusionRetail
Multi Location
FusionRetail Multi
Location is a group of stores using FusionRetail and sharing
information between each other. The type of information to
be shared is controlled by a master store. All other stores
are known as branch stores. The means of communicating data
between stores is via the Internet, or more specifically,
by controlled e-mails. As each store in the Multi-Location
group conducts day-to-day business, FusionRetail is generating
packets of information to be sent and received. These packets
of information are distributed at timed intervals or on user
request.
A versatile and simple program for sharing
inventory, customer records, and sales information between
your stores whether they are across city or across country.
Using robust technology, FusionRetail transmits and receives
updates in just minutes so that each of your stores will know
what inventory is available, where, when and to whom it was
sold, and overall sales reports per store. As a multiple store
owner you define the operations of each store, giving individual
stores the rights to information you want them to have. Your
controls on inventory in each store may be broad or narrow,
your use of each store's customer base may be general or specific,
and your knowledge of each store's profitability will be precise.

Multi-Location Overview
Following types of information can be exchanged between a
master and branch stores. The master store dictates what each
store will receive.
Stock
Updates - Multi-Location Inventory
It is anticipated that Multi-Locations will be selling much
of the same inventory, but there may be some items unique
to branch stores. By design, the master store dictates the
overall operations of the Multi-Location group. But there
is considerable flexibility about what information will be
shared between branch stores.
Inventory
Hierarchy
The master store defines departments and categories and all
stores which will be sharing inventory must use the lists
created by the master store. This should not pose any problems
for branch stores because they assign inventory to any category
and may maintain inventory independent of the master store.
Stock
Transfers and Purchase Orders
Stock is transferred between stores through a special stock
transfer process and are received and processed as normal
purchase orders. Local stock counts are automatically reduced
when items are sold to customers or transferred to other stores.
Local stock counts are increased as purchase orders of transferred
goods are received.
Customer
Updates - Multi-Location Customers
Each Multi-Location maintains a common customer list. However,
customers are assigned account numbers which are unique to
the originating store. Customer information is shared among
designated stores. This allows a customer to shop in multiple
stores without having to be added again to the customer list.
And, as appropriate, stores can use this information for other
activities like marketing campaigns.
Tax
Liability
Special provision has been made so that customers will be
charged taxes at the local store rate wherever they choose
to shop.
Sales
Info - Multi-Location Sales Reports
The master store will receive sales information from branch
stores. These Sales information from each store is transmitted
and viewed in both Summary or Detail formats. You may scroll
through the data or you may print reports for further analysis.
