Scenario: In my grocery store I sell products like Rice, Sugar, Lentils, Mustard Oil, etc. after weighing in the weighing scale.

RanceLab® FusionRetail™ 6 has introduced a new feature that helps to integrate Weighing Scale data with FusionRetail 6. Please follow the steps given below to implement the task.
Setting up the Weighing Scale.
- Connect the Weighing Scale to the computer using the cable.
- Switch on the Weighing Scale.
- Wait until the device is ready.
Making changes in software for Weighing Scale in Touch POS mode.
Step1: Setting option in menu.
- Go to Main Menu > Master Data Management > F&B > Menu Management (M > F > M).
- Press Alt + L.
- Select Menu from the list.
- Come to Product section.
- Set “Ask Qty = Scale”
- Save.
Step2: Using Weighing Scale while making sale transactions (Touch POS).
- Go to Main Menu > Sale Management > Transactions > Sale Invoice (Touch POS) (S > T > T).
- Place the product on the weighing scale.
- Select it from the Order screen.
- The software automatically calculates the weight and price of the product.
- Tender.
- Finish.
Making changes in software for Weighing Scale in Scan POS mode.
Step1: Setting option in product master.
- Go to Main Menu > Master Data Management > Inventory > Product Management (M > I > P).
- Press Alt + L.
- Select Product from the list.
- Set “Ask Qty = Scale”.
- Save.
Step2: Using Weighing Scale while making sale transactions (Scan POS).
- Go to Main Menu > Sale Management > Transactions > Sale Invoice (Scan POS) (S > T > T).
- Keep the product on the weighing scale.
- Press Alt +L.
- Select the product from the list.
- The software automatically calculates the weight and price of the product.
- Save.
Note:
Settings from the Device Manager.
- Note down to which port the weighing scale is connected with the PC.
- Open Device Manager.
- Maximize the “Ports (Com & LPT)” menu.
- Right click on the port to which weighing scale is connected with the PC
- Click on “Properties”.
- Click on “Port Settings” tab.
- Check the Port settings.
- Go to “C:\FusionRetail6”.
- Open the “FR6.CreditCard.xml” with notepad.
- Come to the bottom of the page.
- Update the file within the <Weighing Scale></ Weighing Scale> tag.
- Set the details for “Com Port, Baud Rate, Parity, Stop Bits, Data Bits, Digit Count” as given in “Port Settings”.
- Save.
