Are there any changes required to run FusionRetail™ 6 after changing the IP address of the server computer?

Scenario: I changed the IP address of the server computer. Are there any changes in configuration required to be made to run FusionRetail6 in server as well as node?

Answer: Please follow the instructions given below to avoid any functional problem in the software.

Step1: Keep the Computer Name of the Server computer same as before. Do not change it as it can raise an interruption.

Step2: After changing the IP of Server check if the Server is accessible from the client/node PCs within same workgroup.

Step3: Check if Server computer can access other client/node PCs within same workgroup.

 

Note: After following these instructions you can run the software without any problem. The Server PC and the client/node PCs should be in the same workgroup.
