How to use User Defined Code in Touch POS and Scan POS?

Answer:

Step1:

  1. Go to Master Data Management > Inventory > Product Management (M> I> P)
  2. Press Alt + L to open list.
  3. Select any existing item or create new.
  4. Define a numeric code for the item in “User Defined Code”.
  5. Save.
  6. Add the item in Restaurant menu.( please view:  http://www.rancelab.com/help/fr6_menu_management.htm)

 

 Step2:

  1. Go to Sale Management > Transaction > Sale Invoice (Touch POS)(S> T> S)
  2. Click on ‘V opt voucher’ button
  3. Set “Scan Field = User Defined Code”
  4. Save.

 

Step3:

  1. Go to Sale Management > Transaction > Sale Invoice (Touch POS)(S> T> S)
  2. Open any table.
  3. Press “+” (or use “+ Register” button).
  4. Enter User Defined Code of the item in “Enter Item Code” box and press enter.
  5. You will find the item being selected.

Note: You can use UserDefined Code in SCAN POS also. Just use the following steps.

  1. Use Step1 as mentioned above.
  2. Go to Main Menu > Sales Management > Transaction > Sales Invoice (POS) (S> T> S)
  3. Press Alt + O (or use “-O opt voucher” button).
  4. Set “Scan Field = User Defined Code”
  5. Save.
  6. Now type User Defined Code in scan field of "Scan POS" screen and then press enter.
  7. You will find the item being selected.
