I am using Multi-location with FTP setting for data transfer, but the data is not being transferred properly. How to solve this problem?

Answer:

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a very useful and fast data transfer mode in FusionRetail6. If you have any problem regarding data transfer in FTP mode, use the following steps for trouble shooting:

 Step 1:

  1. Go to Main Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Global Option (T> A> G)
  2. Check the “Method of Communication “field, it must be set to FTP if you are using FTP as a method of data transfer.

 Step 2:

  1. Go to Main Menu > Master Data Management > Inventory > Location Master (M> I> L)
  2. Press Alt + L to open list
  3. Select the location
  4. Set  “Set Link Information = yes”
  5. Go to FTP Setting field
  6. Check the link information for its correctness.

 Step 3:

  1. Go to Main Menu > Settings > System Diagnostics (T>G)
  2. Check the status of all the EXE and communication link.
  3. It will show 3 types of status as
    • Running = The exe is running properly 
    • Stopped = The exe stopped working (restarting FusionRetail™ 6 will resolve this issue)
    • No exe Found = The exe is not present in FusionRetail6 folder

 Step 4:

  1. Go to Fusionretail6 folder 
  2. Check whether RancelabML.exe and MLIM.exe exist. If not then please copy & paste it from the Backup or uninstall and then reinstall FusionRetail6.
  3. Check for any error in Sync.log and Error Log

 Step 5:

  1. Check if Network setting is working properly or not.
  2. Check if internet is running or not
  3. Check the Firewall setting
  4. Check the antivirus status

The server returned an address in response to the PASV command that is different than the address to which the FTP connection was made.

This is a Firewall Problem. FTP fails in passive mode when windows firewall is turned on with multiple IP addresses.

The remote name could not be resolved: 'www.rancelab.net' 

It seems that ftp.ServerName is not resolving to your FTP server IP address. Also you should have IIS5 and IIS6 on different server, as you have ISA on your IIS6 server make sure you enable FTP ports in it.

The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.

This problem may occur if you are importing a large amount of data and if the connection timeout value for IIS 6.0 is too low.

Invalid URL: The hostname could not be parsed

The browser/proxy/firewall is free to put anything it wants in the UrlReferrer header, so Request.UrlReferrer will not necessarily return a valid url, thus the thrown exception.

The remote server returned an error: (530) Not logged in.

Credential Mismatch, Username and Password mismatch.
