How to create a credit invoice against a customer?

Answer:

Step1: Create a credit customer

  1. Go to Main > Master Data Management > Others > Customer Master (M>O>C)
  2. Enter customer’s name and other details
  3. Set “Allow Credit sale = Yes”
  4. Go to “Account Field”
  5. Press Ctrl + N to open Account creation screen & create a new account for the customer.
  6. Enter customer’s account name same as the customer name to help in identifying the accounts individually.
  7. Set “Group Name = Sundry Debtors”
  8. Enter other details and save the account. You will be led to the previous customer creation screen.
  9. Enter other details.
  10. Save the customer master.

Step2: Select the Mode Of Payment

  1. Go to Main Menu > Sales Management > Transaction > Sales Invoice (POS) (S> T> S)
  2. Press Alt + O
  3. Go to “Mode Of Payment” field and press “enter”
  4. Press Alt + L and select “Credit Sale” from the list.
  5. Press F10
  6. Again press F10 to save the changes in sales option.

Step3: Creating a credit sale transaction

  1. Go to Main Menu > Sales Management > Transaction > Sales Invoice (POS) (S> T> S)
  2. Press “F7” and select the customer name from the list.
  3. Press ok button.
  4. Scan the items/product.
  5. Press F10 to tender.
  6. Press “Delete” key from your keyboard to delete the amount from the default (Generally “Cash”) mode of payment.
  7. Go to “Credit Sale” mode of payment field.
  8. Press the “Insert” button from your keyboard or type the amount.
  9. Press F10 and save the transaction.

Notes:

To create a credit sale against a customer, keep following points in your mind:

  • The customer must have an account (sundry debtor) associated with its customer master.
  • In customer creation screen “Allow Credit sale” must be set to “Yes”.
  • In Sale option the “Credit Sale” mode of payment must be selected.
