Why the check health in OPOS driver is not working properly with Posiflex 8000 series Printer?

  1. The OPOS check health was not working at first.
  2.  After rebooting the system it started working.
  3.  Please note that you have to set the following in order to work with check health
  4. Posiflex OPOS Driver
       "PP Demo" in the device Name field
       "ppdemo" in the logical device name field. Please refer to the attached picture.
  5.  When a generic text driver was using the LPT1 port when starting the driver setup program it gave the following error Posiflex OPOS Manager Warning: Windows printer ' Generic / Text Only ' is using port LPT1:
  6.  After that Posiflex OPOS Manager started but the check health was not working.
  7.  FusionRetail 6 was not able to print - got a message saying check your device and log.
  8.  After that when we changed the port of generic text to Com3 , and after reboot the OPOS driver was started working properly.
